I went to Selfridges last week and came away with some brand new Lancome skincare! I also managed to get some good samples from various beauty counters, as well as L'Occitane. Good stuff!
I have wanted to purchase a bottle of Genifique for a while now. I've had a few sample sizes and do like it, I just wanted to use it for longer!
I had also been really interested in the new Genifique Yeux Light-Pearl eye serum. It is meant to help reduce fine lines and combat dark circles. I need dark circle help! I am always looking out for products for my eyes!
The lady on the Lancome counter was very nice and gave my friend and I a complete product make-over.
She used Galateis Douceur cleanser, Tonique Douceur toner, Genifique concentrate, Light-Pearl and Genifique Creme, La Base Pro primer, the new Teint Visonnaire foundation, Teint Miracle concealer, Blush Subtil and Star Bronzer Pinceau Magique. Phew!
They had some Mothers Day sets for Genifique and Visonnaire, which were the normal price for the product but came with 4 extra deluxe size products. I loved all the bonus products (Mascara, Visonnaire/Genifique, Lipstick and La vie est belle fragrance) so decided to get the Genifique one. Plus, I loved the Yeux Light-Pearl too and if you got 2 products you got an extra 4 samples, so of course I splashed out and went for it!
I am currently trying them both out and will be reporting on what I think soon!
I absolutely love getting samples. It is such a great way to try new products that I wouldn't pay full price for without knowing if I like them first.
So what did I pick up?

L'Occitane Shea Honey Hand Cream review
I love L'Occitane products. They are so pampering and nourishing!
I recently purchased some of the new Limited Edition honey range and will be first reviewing the shea honey hand cream.
The hand cream is 30ml, the usual hand cream amount from L'Occitane (although there are a couple of mega 150ml ones too), and it has 20% Shea Butter in it, so you know this will be great for your hands! It costs £8, pricey you may say, but, although I love bargains, L'Occitane are worth paying a bit more for in my opinion, especially the hand creams!
The packaging is so cute too - love the little bear and bees!
The limited edition shea honey range consists of the hand cream, foaming gel, whipped body cream and honey butter. Gorgeous!
The hand cream is wonderfully thick and creamy, yet sinks right in to the skin.
I get very dry hands in winter! L'Occitane hand cream is the first thing I turn to if my hands are getting really bad and I have been loving this honey version! The scent is very sweet but not over-powering. It's lovely.
This really does improve your hands after just one application. It's rich, luxurious, nourishing and a must-have!
There are also limited edition scents of Mango Flower, Rose Petals, Date Bouquet, and Spring Cherry, all of which smell very nice.
Do you use L'Occitane hand cream? Or have you not splashed out on any yet? I'd love to know!
